1. Ajaigarh Fort

Take your way to the back gate of fort, the path takes you to the dense teak forest. There is a beautiful lake view near the forest ideal for relaxing after exploring the fort premises. Keep extra time in hand on your Travel Package, as the area will take about 3 hours to explore the complete area. It is an entire day tour from Khajuraho city. Keep packed mineral water as you might be needing a lot on the way. While way back better to use the rocky path rather then stairs as normally the locals do to get down the hill top. It will take just 15 to 20 minutes to come down.

There are magnificent fort ruins and the huge entry gate which needs your attention that will lead you to the kings royal place. There is separate queens fort within the fort premises showcasing the marvelous inlay work. Technically designed water ponds where once the royal ladies use to spend time at leisure. There is also a temple carved out of single stone located at the top, spend some time to understand the architecture of the temple as it’s the finest example of monuments in India. You will not get much as refreshment near the temple, its better to carry some with you.

3. Shiva Temple A Must to See - Monument Under Restoration

This temple comes under Western Group of Khajuraho temples. Well located between Kandhariya and Jagdambe Devi temple. This temple monument has small structure which is still under restoration. The main chamber has a Shiva figure.

4. Dhubela Museum – Unexpected Treasure and Best Picnic Spot


This unexpected treasure lies between Jhansi and Khajuraho. The museum has outstanding collection of Bundela and Chandela periods and is enclosed by remarkable remains of the Maharaja Chatrasal kingdom. It is a historical museum where the tomb of his queen is located. Look for good collection of armaments and portraits of its glory past. There is a huge lake flowing at the foot hills of the ruins of chattris and the fort. It is the good picnic spot among the locals where one can indulge into boating ride or even do fishing. Mainly a new construction the temple idles doesn’t give a look of an ancient architecture as compared to Western or Southern Group of temples. 8. Panna National Park - A Good Safari Trip


Panna Tiger Reserve is about 25 km when you Travel from Khajuraho that makes you reach the wildlife in half an hour. Sighting a tiger is real luck of the day but going on a jeep safari is equally thrilling. At present there are about 23 tigers in the reserve. Chances of sighting is equally good as there are fair population of leopards in the jungle too. You will encounter many other wild lives like sloth bear, deer, antelope and variety of bird population. The jungle guides are usually trained and knows well where to find the wild beast. They will answer your all queries.
The park has a beautiful landscape with river flowing along the park. The roads were bad though! Really loved the park but be aware that the chances of tiger sightings are not fantastic and enjoy the other great things about the park.
